The way to draw a kitten

A kitten is a very cute animal. To draw it well, one needs to understand its habits and grasp its alert and dexterous characteristics. It is particularly important to capture the inner temperament it reveals in the change from movement to stillness, which is the key to expressing its charm.

There are two ways to paint cats: meticulous and freehand. This painting technique combines both meticulous and freehand brushwork. Before painting, use a dry brush to set the shape first. Then, quickly apply the color while it is still wet. By making good use of the ink's characteristic of penetrating, the effect of the brush will be better.

First, start drawing from the head. Use colors to dot the eyes, determine their positions, and then draw the nose and mouth.

Second, use a dry brush and thick ink to draw the ears, then use a loose brush to draw the patterns on the head and body, and finally draw the tail.

Three, use scorched ink to outline your eyes. While the color is still not completely dry, underline and dot the eyeballs. A slightly penetrating effect will be better.

Fourth, use a large brush of ochre-ink to color the cat according to its dynamic structure. It is best to color it when the thick ink is still wet, as the effect will be better.

Five. Finally, skim off the whiskers and tidy up some of the local areas.

After the description is completed, to form a complete picture, you can add scenery at appropriate positions on it. If some bamboo leaves are added, pay attention to the composition of the picture to serve as a foil for the cat.
